Terrible Experience: Manual Receipts, Stale Food, and Disorganized Service. Restaurant: The Lunchbox Restaurant. Date of Visit: 28th November 2025. Rating: 1/5 Stars (Abysmal). My recent visit to The Lunchbox Restaurant was profoundly disappointing, marked by a series of issues that ruined the dining experience. I strongly advise prospective customers to look elsewhere. Major Issues Encountered: * Non-Standard & Suspicious Billing (Manual Receipt): Upon paying, I was presented with a handwritten, manual receipt. In this day and age, this lack of complete computerized billing is highly suspicious, unprofessional, and raises serious concerns about transparency and record-keeping. * Persistent Cash Demands & Undisciplined Staff: The staff at the counter were noticeably undisciplined and repeatedly insisted on cash payments, creating an awkward and inconvenient situation. Their constant demands were unprofessional and disrupted the process of simply trying to pay and leave. * Stale, Poor-Quality Food: The kababs in the platter were unequivocally stale. The meat was dry, lacked flavor, and clearly was not prepared fresh. Serving food of such poor quality is unacceptable for any dining establishment. * Poor Service & Lack of Attention: The general service throughout the meal was substandard. Staff were difficult to flag down and seemed more focused on the counter/payment issues than attending to dining guests. * Uncomfortable Dining Environment (Broken AC): To top it all off, the air conditioning was clearly not working. This made the dining area hot, uncomfortable, and completely ruined the atmosphere, especially given the type of food being served. Overall Summary:. This establishment needs a complete overhaul, from its basic operational procedures (billing/payments) to its food preparation standards and staff professionalism. A stale platter, pushy demands for cash, and a sweltering dining room make this a 1-star experience. Avoid.
