El menú de desgustacion con el maridaje muy recomendable
Espectacular, todo el ambiente, el servicio, los postres es la perfección hecha en un solo lugar????
This was a Michelin-starred meal couched in a living-room experience. I think for many people that's the charm, and while it worked for me I did have some hesitations. To begin, the food was mostly delicious. I opted for the $95 short story with the $22 potato dish add-on, and I was happy with nearly every course. That said, I found the use of certain poignant ingredients to be heavy-handed. For example, covering the delicate scallops with a solid layer of horseradish powder seemed (and tasted) pretty extreme. Furthermore, throwing a whole bunch of chive in an otherwise delicate potato and caviar dish seemed really unnecessary. Who has ever eaten caviar and thought to themselves, "this would be better with a bunch of chives?" Seriously, who? The bread course was a real standout, and came with butter (with chive powder, of course), chicken liver mousse, AND ricotta cheese. I do wish I had been offered an additional loaf of bread instead of having them take away all of the additions, which felt pretty wasteful, but I was curious how they would handle that choice (see below for more thoughts on this). What really made the meal for me were the two main dishes, a fantastic preparation of quail with blackberry, and an absolutely unreal NZ ribeye served with black truffle jus. Honestly, the ribeye alone deserves that 5th star, and I really wish I could give it. BUT - this was a 4 star meal for me, and the answer why is quite simple: From start to finish, and yes I counted, the entire meal was out and done in 45 minutes. And I tried my best to eat slowly, I really did, but it was hard when the food was that good. Literally within 3-5 minutes of finishing one course, the plate would be taken away the next one would appear. Is this good service? I don't know. It was certainly attentive, but all it felt was rushed, as if they were in a hurry to get me out of there. And thus, if you're looking to spend your money on a memorable, Michelin-starred experience, perhaps to commemorate a special occasion, I would look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you're okay with all things casual, and just want a well crafted meal without much care toward the price or the ambience, The Musket Room might just fit the bill.
