Delicious coffee and drink offerings (lavender lemonade!) in a quaint town. The food DOES take a bit to come out, but it's really delicious. The pastries are obviously to die for. I live in NYC, but I visited this place while on vacation, and it really does rank quite up there in my books. It has a lovely taste of homemade, fresh baked goods, while remaining adequately priced. I'm extremely happy with my visit and will recommend to anyone that's in this area as well.

Okay, let me make this clear: the baked goods are the primary reason to come here. THEY ARE FABOO. The sandwiches are okay. Not bad; not fantastic; solidly good. I found the bread crust too hard, and thought there was a little too much lettuce stuffed into the sandwich, but that's personal taste. If you need a meal and they're open, they're a good place to stop in. The staff is really friendly, and I enjoyed watching them interact with folks from the town; everyone knew everyone, making it a really relaxed atmosphere. HUGE NOTE: this building is SO FREAKING COOL. It's a historical building of some kind, and it has all these fascinating nooks all over, as well as a gorgeous staircase and a bathroom one must reach via labyrinthine means. I will very likely be back (mostly for the pastries).

Stopped at the Patisserie yesterday for some breakfast while I was waiting for my car that was being serviced in town. I have eaten there many times before and was never dissatisfied until yesterday. I ordered scrambled eggs with rye toast. The young lady behind the counter told me they would bring my food out to me When it was ready. After 25 minutes I stepped inside to see my order sitting on top of the counter and when I asked if it was mine I looked down and noticed that the eggs were clearly fried not scrambled. When I explain this to the girl at the counter she told me "oh no this is scrambled this is how we make it here." OK, in my experience scrambled eggs requires actual scrambling. Since I already waited 25 minutes I took the eggs and found that they were terrible and dry,Thepotatoes were greasy I tried one but that was enough. Sad to say the rye toast was the highlight of the meal.
