Had a phenomenal meal and drinks tonight at The Rabbit Hole. The patio atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Immediately after taking our seats we knew our time here would be fantastic. We were greeted by Bianca our server, and my girlfriend had a fantastic NA IPA and I had a PERFECTLY poured Guinness (okay I had three because…Guinness). We started with the beef tartare, which is made with an English brown mustard, rather than the traditional grainy mustard, and the Welsh Rarebit. Where has rarebit been all my life?!?! Bianca instructed us to douse it in Worchestershire sauce and she was not wrong. Absolutely incredible. Our mains were the Fish and Chips for my partner and the Saturday roast beef for myself. Come Saturday and get the roast beef. SERIOUSLY. The BEST roast potatoes I have ever had in my life. IN MY LIFE! The roast beef was a perfect rare to medium rare, the gravy was incredible and the ROAST POTATOES!!!!!! The tartar sauce with the fish and chips was indeed proper and excellent. All in all I left full, a little buzzed (3 Guinness in quick succession after all) and very very happy. Will 100% be back every time I visit Toronto. Don’t miss The Rabbit Hole if you’re visiting Toronto and looking for English pub fare and vibe. Extra kudos to whoever curated the music playlist. Banger after banger. Bianca you helped make our experience that much better and we will be asking for you in the future! Edit: My girlfriend was aghast that I did not mention the miniature quail scotch egg with our beef tartare. A perfect jammy yolk and set white, wrapped in an incredible well seasoned sausage mix and breaded in panko. A nice twist on the traditional egg yolk. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $90–100 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips, Beef Tartare, Welsh Rarebit
