A simple issue that could have been rectified was blown completely out of proportion because of management that wouldn't listen and talked over us and argue about what was ordered. We ordered a lamb curry and pointed out on the menu what we wanted and instead was charged for a curry double the price. As soon as we sat down we noticed the mistake and pointed it out, instead of having the issue resolved we were met with arguments that we ordered that and refused a refund by management. We were charged for Naan that we asked before ordering whether it would be an extra if we swop out the rice for it and were told it would not be, then we're argued with that we should have asked. He chose to argue rather than resolve the mistake. Never again will I go to another Raj, have always loved the food from Raj but after today I couldn't even bring myself to eat it. Have basic respect for your customers.

Went to Raj Express on Saturday to get some curry and naan bread. Welcome was average and I placed my order: Lamb Korma, Chicken Tikka Masala, pea and potato samoosas and a garlic naan bread. Waited a while for the food, although the shop was empty. Food arrived, left the shop and opened the food at home. Food was still hot (temperature wise) and I was happy!
Dished up and took a bite of the pea and potato samoosa....I tasted the corn immediately. They gave me the wrong samoosas!!! I then proceeded to dish the lamb korma. All I could taste was an overload of coconut! Meat was tough, although it was lamb?? The naan bread was tougher than a biscuit....
Plus side, chicken tikka masala was good. Please be careful what you order and check your order before you leave the store!

I decided to try The Raj Express at Sand-Ridge today since its a bit chilly. I ordered the chicken bunny chow. The service was great. I received my food in roughly 15 mins. I was excited and salivating because I love bunny chow since I'm from Durban. What a disappointment. The chicken was rubbery. It was not fresh at all. I am very disappointed and angry. I don't think I'll buy there again. The container had spilled my bunny on the plastic. I hope the packaging changes to suit bunnies.
