Peter was such a joy! Me and my close friends (really sisters) decided to meet up for lunch initially for Side Street Grille but they didn't open until a certain time. 2nd route was Blue Monkey but the menu was lookin real 'I can cook this at home." Our third and final venture was to the Second Line which Peter let us know when we were seated that they actually close during a certain time of day to transition into dinner but the cooks insisted that they would have us. My two friends had the Strawberry Orange Margarita I believe and my soul was blessed by When The Levee Breaks. I was tempted to go for a second round. I ordered the Wedge Salad which at first didn't look too appealing but shocked the skittles out of me. One of my friend's even asked to try some. My entree was the gumbo and when I say I felt like my tongue was an extra in a Big Freedia music video. It was so flavorful and the bread that came along with it was the perfect touch. I hear brunch here is amazing. I look forward to my next visit. Yall have outdone yourselves in tapping into a special southern cuisine that is not always carried out of kitchen with love and culture oozing from the plate. Thank you!
