UNFORTUNATELY, the food was NOT on point. We felt that the food had TOO much oil, the tostones were drenched in oil, the fried calamari did not taste right, greasy. The shrimp platter lacked flavor, and the monfongo was small, dry and lacked flavor, did not taste fresh. The bacalao frito did not have bacalao flavor. The café martini, tasted good but it was not a martini. Needless to say, my husband ended up with a very upset stomach and going nonstop to the bathroom.
I truly hate giving bad reviews, so hopefully this review will be taken as constructive for improvement. I would LOVE for the Spot to succeed, so hopefully, their food will improve.

I am grateful for our latest new restaurant opening in downtown Americus, The Spot. Thank you to Charles Crisp for the amazing transformation of the Barlow Block, providing a home for new businesses, and to Yorka Ralwins and David Theiss for believing in our community and investing in this exciting new restaurant!
