I was really looking forward to this place while cycling the Great Taste Trail. So on arriving in Riuwaka, we headed immediately to get “ real fruit” ice cream. Sadly the ice cream was not outstanding as expected considering fresh fruit is being used as advertised (supermarket bought Kapiti fruit flavored ice creams seem better valued). The mixed berry flavour did not taste particularly berry. However, the waffle cones are excellent quality- crisp and fresh. I did buy before leaving, some green kiwi fruit at $6/kg, harvested from the Thomas Bros orchard which hopefully will salvage some of their reputation which I had been expecting.

Always our fav stop for an ice cream! They hit the spot every time and have lots of seating. Staff are also great!
