My partner and I absolutely love this place. The inventive signature cocktails are all worth trying, and you can never go wrong with the classics. All of the signature drinks come in drink themed tiki mugs, and every little detail is maximized in garnishes, lights, etc. you don't see that level of care put into every single drink all the time like it is here. We love tiki bars and make sure to check out atleast one out everywhere we travel. We visit family in West Seattle and have stopped by here twice now. We have been greatly taken care of by bartenders Keith the first time and Alex the second. They both know their stuff and their passion for their craft shows. And I mean an old family owned bowling alley is attached just down below?! You couldn't ask for a more atmospheric adventure when you walk through that sliding door. Had The Dude lived in Seattle rather than L.A. there'd be no question he'd be a regular at this place. I can't imagine a trip to Seattle for us without stopping by here every time. A Hui Ho! We're becoming regulars here and have no regrets!!! Very personable bartenders. The specialty drinks come in super unique mugs, which appear to be hand-crafted. They're purchasable if that's your kind of thing. The karaage chicken is gluten-free and still awesome. Love it! Only wish there was more of it. We're very lucky to have this nearby. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Dietary restrictions: Some gluten-free options, but aren't marked on the menu

Once upon a time, there was Tiki bar locator and review site called Critiki. Alas, it's now defunct, but Three 9 Lounge would have been well-reviewed there, I'm dead certain. Jimmy's put together a very nice Tiki bar! If Critiki still existed, then these would be my ratings under the standard Critiki metrics. (For context, I'm measuring Three 9 Lounge against the four dozen Tiki bars I've rated in my life.) *Decor, 8/10 - This joint is 4 years old and will continue to add to its decor. Decor is expensive and takes time to build in a Tiki bar. Three 9 Lounge is off to an amazing start. *Drink Quality, 8/10 - Their Mai Tai is notable and well done. Gretl & I had zero regrets about celebrating International Mai Tai Day 2025 on 30.August, here. Order the Mai Tai. It's as tasty as Trader Vic intended. *Drink Selection, 8/10 - They offer signature cocktails and they know how to create a well-balanced Tiki cocktail. There's real skill here, man. Real. Skill. *Food Quality, 8/10 - We ordered two rounds of snacks. The kitchen is worth leaving off an extra drink, which is the real test between good bar service and its kitchen. *Food Selection, 8/10 - Classic Tiki fare and few surprises. What surprises? Ah! Go get surprised! *Mood, 10/10 - Mood is the hardest thing, but Three 9 Lounge is attached to a 78-year-old bowling alley. They're bowling Turkeys, here. It felt like The Big Lebowski might stroll up, then order a White Russian off-menu. The location is perfect. Like, it hit me the same way the waterfall in Smuggler's Cove hit me. I've never been in a Tiki Bar attached to a bowling alley. This novel locale is unique as far as I know? *Music, 9/10 - Hawaiian Gospel music sounded divine and wonderful odd. (Only a live band earns a perfect score for this metric.) *Service, 10/10 - Flawless. They're true pros. *Tikiness, 9/10 - Thoughtful composition of a Tiki Bar is hard. What Three 9 Lounge has put together is no accident. *Tilt, 9/10 - This weird mystical metric strives to quantify the transcendent, the ineffable, the noesis, the numen, the x-factor, the slack, the touch from His noodly appendage. Jawohl. You're goin' on a journey at Three 9 Lounge. *Vibe, 10/10 - Yeah, the Tiki vibe thrives here. It felt inclusive, welcoming, and like an Island of South Pacific Fantasia in West Seattle! Make this an essential stop for seeking Tiki drinks in the Great PNW, y'all. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
