I had a very disappointing experience at the Tim Hortons located inside the Cenovus Building (1301 16 Ave NW ). This is one of multiple Tim Hortons locations within the campus, and I am specifically referring to the one inside this building. During a recent visit to use my reward points, A staff member made a mistake but handled the situation poorly. Instead of acknowledging the error, the staff member shifted the blame onto me and responded with a dismissive and irritated attitude. What made the situation more uncomfortable was that the staff member and the manager continued speaking among themselves in another language during the interaction, which made it difficult for me to understand what was being discussed about my situation. The manager, who was aware of the situation, did not offer any apology. Instead, she questioned me in a way that felt accusatory, in front of multiple customers during a busy lunch hour. This left me feeling publicly embarrassed and excluded from the conversation. I visit this location frequently, which made this experience even more disappointing. There appears to be a lack of accountability and proper customer service handling at this store. I have also reported this incident to head office and hope to see a proper follow-up and improvement. Jasmine (one of the really amazing staff here) is truly outstanding. This location can be busy but she continually has a smile on her face. Since I get my coffee here most mornings, seeing her & the consistently good coffee is a great start to the day! Meal type: Other Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
