Passing through from NC to FL after vacation. We prefer local places vs chain restaurants. Reviews were good so we stopped. They had a very busy takeout area which made us think the food was good. A local saw us looking at the menu and told us everything here was good. I had a bacon cheeseburger, all the way with corn fritters and a lemonade. One of the best burgers I've had in a very long time. The corn fritters were hot and crunchy on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside. The lemonade was really good too. My husband had the combination platter. He order the shrimp and catfish nuggets. Both were cooked perfectly. He really liked the traditional coleslaw and said his sweet potato fries were good, too. I stole 3 of his shrimp and loved them. It was a lot of really good food for about $30 total for 2 people. We were stuffed after. I fo e forgot to ask the name of the two ladies that took our order, rang us up and served us, but they were very sweet helpful and efficient. Highly recommend! Asked a friend that lives not too far away if he'd been there and he hasn't. After telling him abiut our experience, he's going to check it out this weekend.
