Of course they also had our attention with the parrots outside. First we asked them critical questions like why they don’t fly away. They couldn’t really answer them and only said they are treated well. We saw one of the parrots fly a few meters, so we thought the birds must be ok. But we still had this feeling (and unfortunately humans do cruel things to make business), something wasn’t right. Only later we realized their wings must have been cut just so they can’t fly to far . But what made us decide to eat there was the roof top tables. So we said yes. The setting is nice. But they seem to offer you the most expensive stuff on the menu (maybe they get a perecentage of what they sell?). Be aware of the prices (also ask google!) and specially check the price if you have fish. Check with the weighter BEFORE you confirm your order! We had Sea breem (in the menu 75€/kg) and Sea bass (85€/kg) and asked how much the fish weigh: „it will be a maximum of 30€“ the (very young and obviously unexperienced) waiter answered. He tried to sell the most expensive one (red snapper at 90€/kg) about three times. We declined. They offered side dishes (we read about overpriced Tzatziki and Pita) but we declined. Only later we googled fish prices and normally these kind of fish run at 50-60€ per kilo. Concidering the rooftop location we could say that that’s the reason for the higher price but I‘ll let that be your choice to make ;-) To sum it up: we had a bottle of water, two glasses of wine and two fish (sea breem and sea bass - not the red snapper) and it came to 129€. To pay there’s a guy sitting at a table only collecting money and writing bills. After paying we checked the bill again and (like other reviewers) saw there was something wrong. They tried to snap off another 10€ by putting more drinks on the bill. We confronted the guy and without much discussion he gave us 10€ and said it’s ok like this I must say: Within the two weeks in Greece this was the most clear try of fraud and if it wasn’t for the very delicious meal and the roof top location, this would be only a 1-star rating. Price per person: €50+ Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

SCAM!! Great service but Unfortunately a total scam, garlic bread, carbonara, Napoli pasta 1 beer 1 cocktail = 116 euros, seems like we got lucky as some of the reviews were charged more for less than we got. AVOID Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €50+

Avoid Old Town Restaurant in Rhodes Old Town unless you want one of the most uncomfortable and pushy dining experiences imaginable. From the moment we sat down, the server aggressively pushed expensive dishes we clearly said we did not want. He literally stood over our table pressuring us to order instead of letting us enjoy a relaxing dinner. It felt less like hospitality and more like a sales ambush targeted at tourists. The worst part? The table next to us, a group of 5 tourists, got pressured into ordering a large seafood platter they did not fully understand the pricing for. When the bill arrived, it was OVER €1,000. You could visibly see their vacation mood collapse right there at the table. It was honestly sad to witness. Restaurants like this damage the reputation of Rhodes tourism. Visitors should not feel manipulated, rushed, or trapped into overpriced meals through pressure tactics. Tourists: ask for prices VERY clearly before accepting any seafood recommendations here. Tagging Rhodes Tourism Promotion Organization because this kind of misleading tourist-trap behavior should be addressed.
