What an absolute delight this place is! I stopped in to buy tea as a gift, but also wound up buying tea for myself, and a jasmine matcha tea and a vegan coconut cupcake for the road. It was delicious and such a treat. It wound up being the unanticipated bright spot of my day! They have an enormous selection of looseleaf teas. You can drink it there, but also buy a tin to take home. And! The tins are refillable, so less waste than how I normally purchase tea. The clerk was very knowledgeable about the teas and helped me choose which tea to select. She gave very good advice! Highly recommend this lovely shop!

If you’re in Reno, Too Soul Tea Co. is an absolute must-visit. The owners and baristas are genuinely some of the kindest people. You can tell they truly care about their customers and their craft. Their loose leaf tea selection is hands-down the best, with so many unique and high-quality options that there’s always something new to try. They recently refreshed the space, and it made such a difference. The shop is now even more cozy, comfortable, and welcoming, perfect for relaxing with a cup of tea or catching up with a friend. I love stopping in weekly for a drink and grabbing loose leaf tea to take home so I can keep enjoying Too Soul Tea throughout the week. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Reno, do yourself a favor and check this place out. You won’t regret it.

I’ve seen another review call this place “No Soul Tea,” and I have to agree. Too Soul has really lost its “soul” since reopening under new ownership. I started going about 1–2 months before the remodel, and I absolutely loved it. I craved their drinks almost every day and even got my coworkers hooked. I was excited for the reopening, but I was disappointed as soon as I walked in. The cozy, colorful atmosphere and unique decor were gone and replaced with a very minimalist office-core vibe that just doesn’t feel the same. I ordered a spicy coconut chai, and it tasted so bad I had to throw it away. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and went back again, thinking maybe it was just a mistake but my next drink still wasn’t any better. My coworker was especially disappointed since they used to love the Red Bull refreshers, which aren’t on the menu anymore (despite having been super popular apparently?). They ended up getting an iced peppermint mocha, and after waiting about 20 minutes (despite being the only order at the time) it tasted like watered down milk with peppermint and barely any coffee. My spiced dirty chai was also watery and lacked flavor. It really sucks to leave this review because my boyfriend and I loved this place. The old baristas were amazing and made the shop feel so welcoming. We thought we had found our go-to coffee spot, but since the remodeling, it’s just not the same and we’re back to searching for a new favorite.
