Yayoi Tengu es uno de los lugares más inusuales que suelen visitar los turistas. Este confectionary restaurant es famoso por servir cocina japonesa. Plus Points: ︎Place is clean/cozy/very SHOWA (a term we use in Japan to describe things, feel, style from the Showa period 1920s to 1980s). It has a take-out counter facing the street and a small eat-in section for customers hoping to escape the cold/heat from the outside for a few mins to enjoy the hot snack. ︎Shop staff is your typical nice, courteous staff. I think some comments here mentioned "unfriendly" or even "rude" behaviour. Honestly, I think it is just a "poker face" of someone who is just curious or unsure. Don:t take it to heart. Try talking to them and you will see they are actually very friendly. ︎The kind staff asked if i would like to have my ooban yaki in the store. I said yes cos I wanted to just eat my snack indoor. In Japan, it is considered rude to walk and eat on the street. ︎It is considered incredibly cheap to pay ¥160 for a oobanyaki with today's prices. Challenges: It wasn't piping hot which I can understand. It was a very quiet day when I was there. Maybe next time, I will try to ask for a piping hot one? とてもおいしい大判焼きをいただきました。また伺います。
