The best part about this restaurant is how it looks like it could be a good spot for Ramen. But it is not, the soup tastes water down. The pork is not tender. The portion is small. The Roman feels like overcooked or have been sitting there for awhile, and I can only guess that is the latter because in less than two minute after I order it the food is already ready. I also ordered fried chicken. It was $11 but with the price the portion doesn’t match up. The chicken is flavorless. It is not tender. It is actually the opposite, its harden and difficult to bite into. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

The broth is rich and comforting, the noodles have that perfect bite, and everything shows up hot and satisfying. It’s the kind of bowl that just works, especially after a long day walking around Monterey. The place has a relaxed, no-pressure vibe. You sit down, you eat, and you chill. Service is quick and friendly, nothing overdone, just smooth and easy. Pro tip: Try to go a little earlier or outside peak dinner time.
