What a hidden gem! Best sushi I’ve had in a very long time. Traditional sushi bar so the service was intimate and professional. Fresh sashimi (forgot to take photo) and every dish was amazing! Very small so reservations are strongly advised. A bit pricey but you pay for the quality. Would definitely return for special occasions. This is by far my favorite place for top quality sushi. This is definitely where you will have to open your wallets for but it's worth every penny in my opinion. Highly recommend and will be going back again soon! We dropped in without a reservation and planned to get the omakase sushi. They have daily prices but it starts at $80. All the tables had reservations so it's a pretty popular place. It's also quite small so there is limited seating. We experienced some unique sushi for the first time in a while and I've been to several restaurants for their omakase. First off, they have a simple and traditional style of nigiri. They don't apply any sauces and they don't marinate or cure the fish either so the focus is on the freshness of the fish itself. This means the aji (mackerel) which is usually salted/cured was not and this was a new experience for us. It's still accompanied with the grated ginger and green onion though and these flavours came out more. It was also our first time having big clam as nigiri. It's usually scallop but the clam gave a more robust texture. Finally, they had sawagani today which is ?baby? fresh water crab that is deep fried. It was very crispy and crunchy and was definitely an interesting experience, especially since they had the box of the live crabs at the sushi bar. All in all, it was a good experience and a fair price for omakase. We would like to try it again in the future.
