Stopped for a feed with our 3 young kids and couldn’t fault it. No reservation on a Friday night but the staff made it work, food came out fast, drinks even faster, staff smiling and friendly, very attentive, venue was clean and cosy. Great kids menu (that wasn’t nuggets and chips). We frequent a lot of smokehouses in Melbourne where we live and this was up with the best of them. The brisket arancini was a standout. Will make this our new stop in whenever we find ourselves in lovely Rosedale. We had an amazing meal at Smokehouse 81! We ordered the smoked brisket and smoked pork ribs with sides, and everything was cooked to perfection. The meat was incredibly tender, full of smoky flavour, and the sides complemented the meal perfectly. The cocktails and mocktails were just as impressive—beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Combined with the friendly, welcoming service and relaxed atmosphere, it made for a fantastic dining experience. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Smokehouse 81 to anyone looking for great barbecue type meal, excellent drinks, and outstanding service.
