I went to Trios in Monroe earlier this week and I just would like to say outstanding service and the food was just perfect! Definitely would recommend and will be back soon! My server Taylor and the bartender I think his name was Paxton were both on top of it didn’t matter how busy it was they handled it!

Met my friends for brunch at Trio’s. Our server presented as if she was annoyed that we were there...blamed it on being “kind of new”...was attentive to every other table around us. We dealt with that patiently for over an hour. It took me about 40 min to get an order of cheese grits and about 20 for my friend to get a cup of ice...both things we asked for at least 2-3x’s...at one point she turned and looked at me and rolled her eyes...Then proceeded to ask the table next to us if there was anything she could do for them. Never asked us for refills yet brought out refills to the other tables. We finally asked for our ticket (hadn’t received food yet). She immediately walked back to tell the manager, pointed us out. The manager asked us what was going on. We told her. Her response: “so you guys want the ticket”? No apology. No “is there anything else I can do to make your experience better”?....thanks Trios for making my friends and I feel overlooked and undervalued. I am in no way implying they are racist (have had good experiences plenty of times before) but our server (blonde hair, red and black flannel shirt-hasn’t been working there long) definitely was more attentive to our white counterparts and obviously annoyed with us asking for cheese grits and a cup of water. And also, a manager who didn’t apologize on behalf of her employee is just poor customer service. Currently at Athena’s where the vibe is already amazing. We’ll be spending our money at Copeland’s from now on when we want brunch. We tip too good for poor service.
