Hi Palak,We feel it’s important to clarify the events that took place. Earlier that same day, members of your group attended our property after visiting another nearby establishment and requested access to our washrooms without being customers. At that time, our staff directed you to the public washroom facilities located across the road, as our washrooms are reserved for restaurant patrons only. This policy is applied equally to everyone. Later that evening, your group returned around 7:20 PM and was seated immediately on our patio. Your server was clearly informed that the group intended to purchase and share a single lemonade while multiple individuals used the washroom facilities. While the server briefly stepped away to speak with management regarding the situation, another member of the group entered the washroom as well. At that point, staff explained that our restaurant and patio facilities are intended for paying dining guests and not for repeated washroom access tied to a single shared beverage purchase. Unfortunately, our server was then subjected to yelling and profanity. She asked the individual involved to leave, and the group departed without paying for the drink ordered. We stand behind our staff for handling a difficult situation professionally while enforcing a policy that is necessary for our small, septic-based business during busy beach traffic. Note we are a full service restaurant , not a fast food place. We also sincerely hope the same time and energy taken to leave multiple negative reviews is directed toward raising concerns with Ontario Parks and Norfolk County regarding the inadequate public washroom facilities currently available in the area.
