Hello Italian Stallion and his little friend the savory Beef Au Jus! This to-go meal hit the spot! I stopped in for lunch after a one-mile walk with my cat, Artemis, and immediately loved the atmosphere. The décor is fun, eclectic, and full of personality. Everywhere you look there is something interesting to see, from the vintage touches to the wall art and nostalgic details. The music added to the experience and made the whole place feel welcoming and relaxed. While waiting for my food, I enjoyed a cold Peroni that absolutely hit the spot after my walk. It was the perfect way to settle in and enjoy the vibe. I ordered the Italian Stallion sandwich and it was fantastic. The beef was tender, flavorful, and piled generously onto a perfectly toasted in-house made hoagie roll. The giardiniera added just the right amount of brightness and crunch, and the melted cheese tied everything together beautifully. The real star for me was the au jus—it was rich, savory, and incredibly delicious. Every dip made the sandwich even better. The staff was friendly, and I appreciated the little personal touches, including the fun artwork on my takeout wrapping. Great food, great atmosphere, and a place with real character. Third trip and they have been excellent each time! Parking is sometimes lacking but today it was plentiful. What is never lacking is the serving sizes Price per person: $10–20 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section

I hesitate to write this review, because the restaurant was nearly full by the time we left at 5:30 PM last Saturday and I selfishly don't want it to get any more popular, but you have to give credit where credit is due. Umarell exceeded expectations from the dishes on the menu to the Hot Wheels themed bathroom. (Our toddler threatened to pee themself several times just to give it multiple looks.) The sweet and sour eggplant was a welcomed departure from the traditional marinara pairing. The chicken was delicious fresh from the kitchen and microwaved the next day. What the dumplings and caveteli lacked in portion size, they made up for in flavor. The tiramisu was the chef's kiss. We will be back, assuming there's not an absurd wait the next time we get a craving for "New • Jersey • Italian.". Service: Dine in
