I never imagined giving Uncle Julio's a one star rating prior to the Covid-19 shutdown but nowadays the food has just been flat out bad. I have now been to the Uncle Julio's Loudoun location twice since restaurants have opened back up and both times have been severely underwhelming compared to what they use to be. What on earth is going on with your salsa? The first time going back I was served stale chips and the salsa was just flavorless water in a little bowl. That iconic smoky flavor was not there. It was absolutely disgusting. The chicken and steak fajitas my friend and I usually order did not have that Uncle Julio's flavor that we were accustomed to having. Prior to the shutdown, my friend and I were regulars every week at this location and I know what this food is at it's best. So we just chalked it up to Uncle Julio's having an off night. No way would I ever think they would slip again but sure enough they did on my second visit yesterday. I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE. Again, we were served flavorless water as their salsa to pair with their chips. The chips were not stale however. The service was really slow yesterday, it took approximately 45 minutes for our food to come out. My friend ordered pork tacos and I ordered the shrimp fajitas. My friend said the pork in the tacos were hard and tough and felt as if it was just sitting under a warmer. My shrimp fajitas and veggies should have been cooked longer. The flavor was lacking completely. I really hope that it's just this location but I won't be going back to the Uncle Julio's Loudoun location anymore.
