Great spot for comforting, satisfying food. The dim sum was fresh and soft, the rice wrap had a nice traditional flavor, and the BBQ bowl was packed with generous portions of meat and fresh greens. Everything tasted homemade and flavorful without feeling too heavy. Simple food done really well. Perfect place for a casual meal when you want something tasty and filling. Stopped here because I wanted something different from the usual Squamish McDonald's pit stop. It was kinda meh to be honest, almost wish I went to the Golden arches instead but it's nice to try something new and support local. We ordered the dumpling flight sampler, pretty bland and not very hot. Tiny portion for the price. They also had curry fish ball pastry, again very bland. I had the pineapple bun cookie, which just tasted like generic cookie - just one caramelized edge has the right flavour. Cream puff was okay, kind of a mess to eat. Overall not really worth the stop. Everything was a little too pricey but service was good and fast. Better next time to keep driving to Burnaby where I'm spoilt for food chinese cuisine. Unique Slow Rise Bakery is a little pocket stop that quietly blends scenery and snacks. It’s one of those places that feels made for a pause and grab something warm, sit down, and let the mountain air do the rest. Just a short detour from Shannon Falls Provincial Park, this spot makes it easy to pair a waterfall walk with a casual bite. And honestly, the patio view toward the falls area is a big part of the charm. What stands out here is the intention, bringing Asian-inspired bakery and dim sum-style bites into an area where options like this are still pretty limited. It’s a nice addition for travellers and locals looking for something different along the Sea-to-Sky route. Tried the dumpling platter, which comes with a bonus treat, a pineapple bun, and this ended up being the quiet highlight of the set. Soft, lightly sweet, and comforting in that classic bakery way. The platter included: • Xiaolongbao (Soup Dumplings) • Har Gow (Steamed Prawn Dumplings) • Siu Mai (Steamed Pork Dumplings) Alongside: • Dirty Ube Cream Cheese Cloud • Lychee Jasmine Tea Overall, everything leaned more toward approachable flavours rather than bold punches, more of a relaxed café-style experience than a heavy dim sum stop. The drinks are light and somewhat watered down. This is very much a scenic stop with food as part of the experience, rather than the other way around. The proximity to Shannon Falls, the patio setting, and the inclusion of Asian-inspired items make it a worthwhile pause on a Sea-to-Sky trip, especially if you’re already out exploring and want something casual and different along the way.
