Disappointed After 15 Years of Loyalty I’ve been a loyal customer of Universal Snack Restaurant in Bliss street Beirut for over 15 years, and it’s disheartening to write this. I’ve always respected the place for its food, but my recent experience with the owner left me completely shocked. I ordered delivery (note: they don’t have in-house delivery—they outsource it). I asked the owner to ensure that the driver would have change to $100. What happened was very surprising. Not only did the driver arrive without change, who informed me that the owner didn’t tell him to get change, but the driver delivered the food without returning the full change to me stating he will get the remaining change later. When the driver was late in returning the change, i called the owner to check; and he completely denied responsibility and told me i need to handle it with the driver. How is that possible when he is the owner of the restaurant who delivered the food ? He spoke to me with utmost disrespect and lack of accountability. I was shocked with the treatment. What upset me most was the complete lack of accountability. Since they outsource delivery, they take zero responsibility for what happens between the driver and the customer—something that should never be the case when you're dealing with any business, let alone one with such a long-standing reputation. Customer service matters. Basic respect matters. Sadly, this experience showed neither. Not recommended anymore. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. The delay in returning your change was due to the delivery company’s process, not our restaurant, and we understand how frustrating that can be. We’re glad the matter was resolved and you did receive your change. We always strive to provide the best service and appreciate your understanding.
