I ordered their standard Nasi Lemak, expecting a flavorful and satisfying meal. However, what I received was far from acceptable, especially given the shocking RM5 price tag. For the price, I anticipated at least a decently portioned dish, but the serving size was underwhelming. The biggest letdown was the sambal. Instead of the rich, savory-sweet and slightly spicy sambal that defines a good Nasi Lemak, what I got was a plain chili powder mix with zero flavor. It was overwhelmingly spicy to the point of discomfort, burning my mouth and throat rather than complementing the dish. Just pure heat with no taste. For a restaurant that appears to be overrated, I expected much better quality and pricing that reflects the market. It’s clear that little thought was put into the pricing strategy, and the lack of research into customer expectations is evident. Unless they rework their pricing and significantly improve their food quality, I wouldn’t recommend VS Family Restaurant to anyone. A huge disappointment and not worth the money. If you’re looking for a good Nasi Lemak, you’re better off elsewhere. I hope this feedback will come to your attention and take appropriate action to fix this. Thank You.
