Its no longer called pizzaioli it domenicos. Not gonna lie I was a little disappointed.. (it was meatballs onions and mushrooms). Alot of mushrooms so that was a plus.the onions on the pizza were minced.. the pizza was a bit flat/soggy . Ill try again i just hope its better next time Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Having taken over the storefront of a failed, dismal, pizzeria, I expected a lot more from the pretty interior of and frou-frou named, "Pizzaiolo Gourmet Eatery." Unfortunately, looks are deceiving. The very small and narrow eatery has only a few movable tables, of which one group of ten or so will, basically, take over the place! The Sbarro- or Cici's-like counter is very long, and has lots of ready-to-heat pizzas and other food items for anyone coming in who wants a bite or whole pizza, quickly. The only problem with the layout is that, if they get even one person examining the many food items in the glass case, having no labels or descriptions ("What's that?" was parroted by us and everyone else who came in), they will not only take forever to decide, but will also block the waitstaff from giving seated customers the food. The very large, plain, pizza we ordered for take-out tasted of little more than cardboard; we couldn't taste any sauce or cheese. The texture was right out of the 1970s: rubbery with massive oily drippings. I also ordered a meatball parmigiana hero to go, which was bland, though the texture of the bread and meatballs was better than I get from other places: just the right amount of toasting and the right density of flavorless meatballs; the cheese was barely perceptible. Our only thought was, "Dominos does this WAY better!" If you have to eat here, do so during "off" hours, as it took about 20 minutes to get our food (lord knows how long it'll take when they have a lot of lunch and dinner orders). While the price was acceptable (about $25 for both items), in our opinion, there was nothing "gourmet" about Pizzaiolo Gourmet Eatery - - which suffers from the better competition with the other small restaurants in the strip mall - - and, as such, we find no reason to return.
