Just to clarify for future guests, our suites are designed as hotel accommodation rather than self-contained apartments. Each room offers a small fridge and tea & coffee facilities but does not include a sink, microwave or cooking facilities. The upstairs balcony is a shared guest space accessed from the hallway, rather than directly from individual rooms, and our upper-level rooms do require stair access. We also have ground-floor suites available for guests who prefer to avoid stairs. We appreciate your comments around value. Pricing can be relative, particularly for design-led regional accommodation in a restored historic hotel, and we’re pleased to hear you would stay again. We’re disappointed to read your review after what appeared to be a pleasant interaction with our team, but we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. You had received an original margarita rather than the Spicy Pineapple Margarita ordered, and once this was brought to our attention, our team promptly apologised and happily replaced it for you. As a flame-led restaurant, our menu is centred around fire, char and seasonal produce. The barramundi ordered was our Humpty Doo barramundi, portioned at approximately 180g and served with charred green beans, spinach and sauce vierge. While this is designed as a substantial dish, additional sides are available to order. The chicken dish ordered was our Roast for a Reason special: roasted garlic and lemon Chicken Maryland with fried potatoes, broccolini, Yorkshire pudding and thyme sauce, with proceeds from every plate donated to Rutherglen SES. This dish is intentionally prepared as a Chicken Maryland rather than a whole roast chicken, and fire and char are central to our cooking style. Our team takes pride in the quality and value of our food, drinks and service, and your comments will be shared with the kitchen and front-of-house teams for review.
