When I moved in to the neighborhood and was searching for places to declare as "our new go-to" restaurants I decided to try this place out....for my birthday celebration with the BF and kids. We were completely blown away with the amount of food that we got, for a really reasonable price. And all of it was delicious. We have been back numerous times, and we use it as one of our standard take-out spots as well!
Dishes that we would recommend would be the Pad Seew, the fried fish (I think it is Talapia) Viengthong Steak, and the BBQ chicken! Although I have never tried to cook any Laos or Thai dish, and I have never had the opportunity to have it home-made for me, or traveled to know what it is like in Southeast Asia, I can say that it is pretty darn close to being the best that I have had here in Seattle.
One other thing that make us love this place is the owners. They are fantastic! We are always greeted with huge smiles, and the are great with remembering what we have ordered/liked on previous visits - they call my oldest "the steak man" because being a very active 17 yr old he can eat me out of house and home and has been known to plow through THREE full servings of the Viengthong Steak - yes 3!!!! And it's not as if he doesnt' eat other things on the table, since BBQ chicken, sticky rice and the fried fish are other favorites.
So the next time you are traveling down MLK - be on the look out and give this spot a try. I am pretty sure you will NOT regret it!!!

Update on this neighborhood spot. As I mentioned in my first review, we all loved it, the food, service and price! And I vowed to make it a regular on our list of "go-to" spots...and we have done just that. We have never been disappointed, as the food is always delicious, authentic Laos/Thai dishes. Having been there multiple times, I still have trouble deciding what is my favorite dish. I have managed to narrow it down a bit; Nam Kao (Deep fried rice with chili paste, coconut flakes, ground peanuts, ham and served with vegetables,) Som Tum(Green papaya, tomatoes, lemon juice and chili,) Goong Phad Katiem
(Shrimps, garlic and black peppers) and Phat si-io ( wide rice noodles fried with chicken or pork, and soy sauce.)

Birthday Dinner. Wanted to try some of the restaurants in my new neighborhood. Hit this place for my birthday. The service was warm and friendly and the food....great, and more than we could possible eat, for a great price! Will make this a regular on our list of "go-to" places.
