What is it with this place? They used to be a good bakery, but now it seems Vin-Chet Bakery no longer cares about their employees' or customers' health. The Erie County Department of Health website, which indicates the Vin Chet Bakery has racked up 5 critical and 3 non-critical violations in the past two years. On a recent visit, we observed that most employees, including the counter clerks, baker, and supervisor were NOT wearing face masks. The supervisor--possibly owner Nancy Mangano--insisted they were free to not wear masks, despite a county mandate (and, soon, a NYS mandate) and extremely high COVID-19 rates in the area. It's unfortunate for all that the Vin-Chet Bakery chooses to violate governmental health guidelines designed to protect the public.
