When we spent 2 weeks in Italy, we ate at some amazing restaurants. Vito Ristorante Italiano could compete with many of them. Yes, you are going to pay $$$$ at this restaurant. Yes, it can be loud on a crowded Saturday night. Yes, it is located in a strip shopping center. But the food, atmosphere, and service is a solid 5 star experience. The 3 of us that dined here on a recent Saturday night were blown away with our experience. The warm fresh bread and olive oil was brought to our table with the menu's. The menu is extensive, and they have many specials every night. As our server recited the specials, one of my pet peeves reared it head. They describe the food, but do not provide the price. Many people are embarrassed to ask. I've been unpleasantly surprised when I haven't asked, and once ordered a dish that was 50% more than most items on the menu. Tonight olwe started with crab soup. Large plentiful lumps of back-fin dotted the soup along with a flavorful veggies and broth. One of the diners thought the broth was thin, but I'd rather have a thin well flavored soup than one that is thickened with corn starch. On to thr main courses: The pasta with crab meat was EXCELLENT! I could not believe the amount of jumbo lump crab meat the dish contained. The sauce was light and the pasts was cooked perfectly. The Eggplant Parm was sliced thin, had a great flavor and was more than one person could eat. The seafood pasta was cooked in a well favored garlic oil.and had a large pile of of mussels and Clams I'm not overly generous with 5 star reviews, but this restaurant deserves all 5
