There are no catering professionals there! Very unfriendly staff. Instead of helping, you get talked to stupidly. Price per person: CHF 10–20 Atmosphere: 5

Nice place to stay. PP 10min away and walk through the forest. Until you get there it's a little confusing as there are signs prohibiting entry. You would have to come from Bischofszell or something. They decorated the cabins very nicely. What was unfortunately not so pleasant was that the first people in the hut were told that they had to hang their jackets outside because the benches etc were made of real wood and they didn't want them to break. Despite trying to make sure that nothing would break the fasteners on the jackets, it was a snappy repetition, please leave it out. But the rest of the troops were allowed to put their jackets on the benches without complaining. It was an imposition to leave the jackets hanging outside; every time you had to go to the toilet or get something to drink, you had to put on the ice-cold jacket, which wasn't helpful at all. That came across as very unpleasant. The rest was wonderful. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

Beautiful place in the forest... Small observation tower, large playground. Lots of seating options. Self-service. Large selection of dishes and drinks. I think the price is reasonable. Vegetarian options: There is also the opportunity for vegetarians to enjoy. Great salad plates, camembert, fries... Parking: Parking spaces are "outside the forest". The Waldschenke can be reached on foot from the marked parking spaces in approx. 15 minutes - 60 minutes depending on the route and parking space choice. You can also park your bike at the Waldschenke. There is even a "horse field" Kid-friendliness: Large, beautiful playground for climbing, sliding, swings, sandpit. Forest to hide in, etc. Wheelchair accessibility: Anyone who comes along a forest path in a wheelchair will also have fun in the Waldschenke. In some places the tables are so close together that it is impossible to get through, but edge tables are not a problem.
