Had my baby shower here, beautiful venue. However, there should be a clearer understanding on how the afternoon teas are presented; 4 of my guests paid £19.50 each for an afternoon tea, and 2 of them paid £23.50 each for a fizz afternoon tea (NOTHING is stated on the menu about how they are presented, just gives a run down of what is included and the price) Only 3 of the 6 afternoon teas were bought out. Confused as to why there was 3 missing, we were told AFTER we had all paid that insane amount of money that the towers were actually for “sharing” (2 people per tower) so essentially, ONE afternoon tea tower equals to £40 and over (this is shocking in itself, considering the room hire was £150 alone and we all paid a further £192 for all our food. IF we had known they were for sharing, we wouldn’t have bothered paying all of that money - picture attached of the afternoon tea) because of the confusion and lack of customer service from a few of the staff, we asked to speak to a manager. He came over to discuss the issue and he was a true gent; out of the kindness of his heart, he honoured 3 more afternoon teas AND complimentary drinks for everyone in the party due to the lack of communication. I wish I’d gotten his name, because he was an absolute god send and couldn’t do enough for us. Overall, it was a lovely day, but it is far too overpriced for what it is.

Fabulous new restaurant area, been going here for years! The gym is incredible, as are the yoga classes. The outdoor pool in the summer is an oasis!

Attended for a golf competition. Disappointed that there was no one from Exeter Golf and Country Club there on the day.

Hi Christine, thanks for the review - could you explain what you mean please? The Pro Shop would have been open, Reception open, the restaurant and food areas open etc...would love to know a bit more so we can consider it going forward! Thanks Jenni
