We arrived at Wellfleet Town Pizza after checking out the scene at most of the nearby restaurants. All were too busy for us local people on a beautiful August Saturday night. We were just looking for something quick and casual and Town Pizza was empty. Clearly not our first choice as my fiancé does not eat pizza but he will eat a sub. When we went to order there was some mumbled excuse of running out of rolls so no subs. I ordered a small pizza and figured I would just put something together at home for him but then saw that they had a steak and cheese calzone on the very prominent specials board. Perfect! Even better than a sub. After a little convincing that he would love a calzone I asked if I could add to the order. I asked for the calzone and the owner/manager stepped in, clearly irritated and rudely told us that all they were making that night was pizza. Okay, won't be going back for any more of that abuse. Guess he didn't read that night's specials board advertising things other than pizza. Me thinks that perhaps they didn't run out of rolls after all. It's never good to get caught in a lie. Dumb angry pizza guy - don't treat local people that way! Go back to where you came from. You are too angry and mean to have a business in Wellfleet. Anyway, what used to be a friendly place has gone completely south. Anyone who advertises there, and I do know all of you who do, so I will be sure to suggest to you when I see you to take down your sign board. You probably don't want to hang your shingle with that guy. If he isn't good for his own business, he won't be good for yours either.
