We finally decided on the $35 per person banquet - had eaten lunch late, and none of us were as ravenous as usual - yeah, incredulously odd for us...!
WHITE VILLAGE GREEK TAVERN, Glenhuntly Road, Elsternwick is a cute, most traditional, homely, little restaurant where the charming and very fit more than middle age wait-staffer [I'm sure he is the owner..] heavy with genuine accent still dances for, sings to and croons away with his doting female patrons.. Bravo..!!
But, apart from finding a celeb in our midst, the only other real highlight was the lightly floured and pan-fried succulent calamari strips - they were truly delicious - just like yaya makes...
The rest was nice, but nothing at all memorable in any way...
Dessert was also a bit of a let-down...
Anyway, we will be back - only to order a big huge enormous platter of those amazing calamari... and to see if this place might actually be one of Richo's faves...
