We arrived there at 6:30 PM (reserved for 7:00 PM). 3 people. We chose the New Year's Eve menu. €55 p.p. duck with a spicy sauce. Bami goreng, sole (fish) dish, nasi goreng special. Drink: 50 cl red wine in carafe (€ 13), a bottle of sparkling water 1l (€ 9), a glass of cola (€ 3.50). We had our aperitif around 7:30 PM. A mini wine glass filled with lychee wine, in the glass accompanied by a stick on which a lychee and a cherry had been pierced. Around 8:05 PM we were served asparagus and crab soup. Pretty tasty. Then we had to wait at least an hour for our starter. It looked like boiled or fried small langoustines (3 pieces, little meat, served with a little vegetables. Around 9:20 PM she placed 2 plate warmers. Four serving bowls had to fit on them. It didn't take 5 minutes before a bowl (nasi goreng special) was added. on the floor. Our relaxing evening became a moment of stress, because we were not going to pay for those kinds of blunders. Immediately afterwards, a third plate warmer was added and where we would otherwise have had to wait so long, we now got a new dish nasi goreng (fresh? lukewarm) special served (the other one was not charged to us after consultation). The dessert. A very small piece of ice cream cake (mocha-vanilla) accompanied by a dirty teapot, containing lukewarm black tea with herbs. This was at 9:42 PM. You could pay at the counter/bar, which gave you a view into the kitchen, which was a bit messy. A large bag of frozen shrimps from the brand Everyday (Colruyt) was on a table without a chef present. . A hefty bill of €190 for 3 people. A very slow/chaotic service in which a huge preventable blunder was made. See review. The food is reasonable. It was a bit heavy on the stomach/intestines afterwards. The prices are on the high side, but this happens just about everywhere these days. Recommended? Unless you have a lot of time. We were served food within 3 hours. The appetizer looked a bit simplistic and was rather overdone, just like the dessert was not really a hit. The soup was the best thing of the evening. The langoustines contain little meat and the vegetables are not very tasty. A fairly dry affair. The main courses. Fish dish contain a salty soy sauce, The fish is very soft, but the vegetables are still quite hard in just about every dish. The nasi goreng (at least the second dish) was lukewarm. For that price you expect a better served aperitif/dessert and top quality dishes. Over the years we have eaten in about twenty (Chinese/wok) places. Most of them left a better impression. This was the second time in this case. Compared to the first time, almost everything has deteriorated, except the friendly service. Unfortunately, we can only provide the points that we have placed here after mutual consultation. This was the last time for us.
