I've eaten at this restaurant for yrs since the day it opened.i was rly sad to see its now something else how ever it got a face lift and the food looks like it's the same so that's good...new name new owners I guess.

I am very sad to say that one of my favorite lunch places in Portland has just closed its doors after about 27 years in business. Very, sad day for me... I was there on opening day way back when, and mega times ever since.... No place like it.

I've been going to the Wok Inn for about 3 years . Up until the last couple times I really enjoyed it... was actually my favorite restaurant. I live near Canby, we have no good food there! I host events for several activity groups ( hiking / walking / biking / movies / dine-outs and stage plays (Lakewood Theater in Lake Oswego) over the last couple years I have taken my groups (usually 7-8 people) to Wok Inn on average about every 3 months. Checking my sign-up records, I show 53 people over the last couple years plus, being my favorite, I have dined there alone or with companion maybe 15 times. Seems like the last couple times the flavor is not as good as it was. the vegies and meats are my choice and are fresh... thinking the sauce has changed. The waitresses used to give very good and friendly service. I'm not sure just who the new guy is... owner? manger? waiter? He is quite un-friendly. The last time I ate there... and it will be the last time!, I waited for my check after eating... maybe 10 minutes. He met me at the cashier, I had given her my Visa card and was just about to add a tip and sign it when he pointed at the tip line and loudly exclaimed "why you no leave tip"? I hadn't gotten that far yet..checking the charges etc... two times they had nearly doubled the amount.. had to call them and my bank. As I said, I will not be going back!!! they have lost a good frequent customer, responsible for probably more than 60 meals.
