Husband ordered the walleye sandwich with sweet potato fries. He said the fish was breaded and cooked beautifully. The bun was toasted on the grill perfectly. I had the chicken tenders with beer battered fries. Both were delicious. The portions were just right, not too full but not enough room for the dessert (unfortunately). Definitely recommend this place!! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Breakfast food was good! Burgers flavor was fine but overcooked. Love that they have lots of options for potatoes/fries. Fries were great but potato salad was inedible- potatoes were uncooked/ literally still crunchy and sauce was bland. The waitress was kind but tried to take away plates while we were still eating (twice)and then another came and gave us the bill before we could order dessert. Overall felt rushed out when the place had half the tables open still... Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20

If you’re traveling through North Dakota, do yourself a favor and stop at The Woodsman Café! I ordered the Bigfoot Hashbrowns, and they were absolutely delicious—hearty, flavorful, and the perfect meal to fuel a day on the road. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with the kind of small-town hospitality that makes travel memorable. The portions were generous, the food was freshly prepared, and the service was excellent. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, The Woodsman Café is well worth the stop.
