This place was great! I had a coffee and the brioche, and both were delicious. Zola, the barista, was incredibly warm and welcoming, and provided excellent service. And it was a quiet spot to sit and enjoy. Price per person: $1–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I must have walked past this foyer-based coffee shop a hundred times. I finally stopped in for just a coffee yesterday and it’s definitely an “again” place. Firstly, because it’s as good a coffee IMO as you’ll find anywhere in the CBD. They do theirs at the stronger, rounded, more robust end of the spectrum, which I love, rather than milky brown “meh”. High praise, but I think merited. Secondly the seats and space is more appealing than I realised. And thirdly, thanks to the super-friendly service - my face-to-face compliment on the coffee was much appreciated. The friendly young lady clearly takes her role as a barista and provider of hospitality seriously. I was surprised when she said “no” when I asked if she gets much feedback. Maybe people are just too busy. So if you follow my advice and try the coffee, and like it, then please let her know. Being in hospitality is a tough gig, so it’s good to give positive feedback when it’s due. Price per person: $1–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
