If you want to remember Hampstead Heath, come to this restaurant first. If you prefer Indian cuisine, then Zaike is worth visiting. You will be served the good steak. Many visitors suppose that the chicken here is overcooked. Most visitors gladly point out that the staff is friendly. While at dinner, I chose the Non vegetarian Thali as it compromised of most of the dishes on the menu in small portions. When the thali arrived, it looked quite appealing. However, I was disappointed. All the dishes lacked seasoning, which I think is absolutely key to Indian cooking. None of it was inedible, but there was nothing exciting about it.
In my opinion, the restaurant has immense potential. The menu had items that represent cuisines from various parts of India and yet the taste did not reflect the same. In order to create it's own Unique Selling Point to stand out from the other Indian restaurants - this place needs to live up to it's menu. The restaurant should reach out to those who are already vary of the typical curry and wants to try food that's more regional. The overall experience wasn't bad, but I was expecting better food.
