Every visit to Zambrero Cloisters Square has been enjoyable. The food is consistently fresh and tasty, and I love that there are so many healthy options available. The team is always cheerful and helpful, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious lunch in the city! We are regular customers of Zambrero's state-wide and order the same regular vegetarian bowl from time to time at many different stores. However on a recent visit to this store, we experienced a strange pricing request from the store attendant who advised us he would charge us $1 PER SCOOP of black rice (regular bowls come with 2 scoops as standard) despite the menu simply saying it is $1 extra to change to black rice. It turns out the store attendant was actually the owner and yes we are talking about $1 here, but my gut feel is that he was knowingly doing this for personal gain. I have already made contact with the store, who has since acknowledged that this pricing methodology was 'misinterpreted' from his franchise training manual (which I don't exactly believe) and refunded the extra $1 charged. We have also contacted Zambrero's head office to raise the issue of this suspicious pricing method falling outside of franchise guidelines and to ensure this potentially deceptive behaviour does not continue to impact others in the community. 2 stars as the food is decent but all other stars docked due to the dodgy business practice in-play. Hi Chwan, This matter was raised with us several months ago, investigated, and resolved immediately with a full refund of the $1 in question. We strongly reject the claims of deceptive conduct or improper behaviour by our team. These allegations are inaccurate and do not reflect what occurred. Despite the issue being resolved in good faith, you have continued to publicly question the integrity of our business. We believe this is unfair and misleading. We remain committed to serving our customers with transparency, professionalism, and honesty.

Had to ask the lady who was working multiple times if the new Nurish bowl was gluten-free, she told me repeatedly, She wasn’t sure. I asked her to please check the ingredient list. She said I don’t know and then proceeded to show me the physical container of the sesame crunch and said I don’t know if it’s gluten-free I said can you please check, ask her multiple times and she just kept smiling and laughing saying I don’t know I don’t know. I advised I am celiac and she just smile and said okay. Staff need to be aware of allergies handling food here. Meal type: Dinner Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Our team should have escalated your question or checked the allergen information properly rather than leaving you uncertain, and we apologise for this. For future reference, allergen information is also available on the Zambrero website if ever in doubt.
