We were really looking forward to trying Zonotta’s. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and our server, J’maya, was excellent throughout the evening. She was attentive, friendly, and provided great service from start to finish. There was also live Jazz music which added to the ambience. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the atmosphere. We started with the Caesar salad and calamari. The salad was decent, but the calamari was tough and chewy and tasted as though it had been previously frozen rather than freshly prepared. I did, however, enjoy the aioli served alongside it. For our entrees, I ordered the carbonara with portabella mushroom, and my husband ordered the chicken parmesan. Both dishes were surprisingly lacking in flavor. The marinara on the chicken parmesan tasted more like a store bought sauce than a house made one, and the pancetta in the carbonara had a very hard, crunchy texture rather than the tender, rich texture typically expected in a carbonara. We ended with the tiramisu. While it was the strongest dish of the evening, I wasn’t a fan of the presentation. It was plated over a chocolate swirl that overpowered the delicate flavors of the dessert. Tiramisu is at its best when the coffee, mascarpone, and cocoa can shine, and the added chocolate distracted from those flavors. Overall, this was a disappointing experience because we truly wanted to like Zonotta’s. The atmosphere is lovely, and the service was wonderful, but the food felt more reminiscent of frozen or pre made ingredients than fresh Italian cooking. Given the prices and the setting, we expected much more. We appreciate the hospitality we received, but unfortunately, we will not be returning. We do pride ourselves in all of our sauces being made from scratch and our meats and appetizers are all breaded in house. But, it seems like we let you down. We would love another chance. I visited here this past weekend with my family. We sat at the bar on the second floor before our reservation to check everything out. The Bartender Garrett was such a sweet young man. Every drink he made for me was phenomenal. I would come back just for him. Once we were seated the Jazz band had started playing. All of the staff seemed so nice and the atmosphere was amazing. I enjoyed the Chicken piccata pasta with some wine and tiramisu for desert. I look forward to returning very soon. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We went to Zanotta’s Ristorante last night with friends, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The restaurant has a truly charming, welcoming atmosphere that makes it feel both relaxed and special at the same time. One of the things I loved most was the simplicity of the menu. It’s not overwhelming; it’s thoughtfully curated, and you can tell each dish is made with care and intention. Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, fresh, and perfectly prepared, and every dish felt comforting and satisfying in the best way. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
