Admittedly as a currently displaced Monty’s customer from South Ealing finding another curry house on the area for the time being is necessary. The nearby Tandoori Villa didn’t hit the mark and Zayka was next on the list as it’s been around a while. The welcome was friendly and the staff attentive throughout. The price of the food was a shock to the system though. Mains were about £12 and £7 for a sag aloo was not great value. The butter chicken was ok, but some of the chicken was a bit chewy. The rice and naan were pricy and pretty average too. For the price the food was pretty average l, whereas I’d have expedited it to be exceptional which it wasn’t. The main reason for 3/5 was the service and the effort made. For the money I wouldn’t return, but I wish them all the best. Reply to owner: Appreciate the reply. The food wasn’t quite to my tastes generally either and was quite pricy, so not sure replacing the dish would’ve helped. It’s obviously a popular place though so it works for plenty of people. I’m just giving my thoughts on my experience and the price vs quality in my opinion as a lay person across the whole piece.
