We found this restaurant via Google, reserved a table by phone and were very surprised when we arrived that even the guests greeted us. This is not common in our part of the world. The food was very tasty and a great atmosphere. We will definitely stop here again on our next trip via Magdeburg. Guys, I can only recommend everyone to visit the restaurant “Zum Ferchlander”. The Ferchlander is a family-run, small, cozy restaurant that my family and of course I visit regularly. The boss cooks, the boss serves and looks after the guests, and you can take that literally. And what the boss cooks is worthy of stars. By the way, as far as I know, he was head chef at the “Neptun” hotel in Warnemünde on the Baltic Sea during the GDR era. Oh, and you won't become poor by visiting Ferchlander. So in summary: The Ferchlander is a cozy restaurant with friendly and warm service, where you can enjoy varied and delicious food and then drink a beer or other delicacies in a pleasant atmosphere.
