Very creative Japanese fusion restaurant with many different cuisines incorporated. We requested the 6-8 course/6500JPY meal at first, but the first 3 courses were so good that we asked to upgrade to the 12 course/13000JPY set instead. Absolutely delicious and creative courses including sweet&savoury mushroom ice cream as an appetizer, complex salad with 4 different paired sauces, and Japanese version of pani puri (an Indian street food). I am vegetarian (eggs and dairy ok, no meat/fish) but my partner is an omnivore. They were able to accommodate both our diets even in the course meal, with thoughtful substitutions (eg potato salad with the salad instead of tuna, mushroom fritters instead of fish fritters, eggplant instead of pork) in my version instead of just omitting the meat. Cool modern/contemporary vibe with rectangular counter seating around the cooking area, so diners get an intimate view of the chefs cooking each course in front of you. Very friendly chefs who explained each course as they served it. Absolutely phenomenal. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area. Come hungry! Incredible seasonal tasting menus that highlight fresh ingredients through innovative Japanese fusion dishes. Every course was artfully presented and so delicious - a true feast for both the eyes and the palate. Without a doubt, one of the most memorable dining experiences of our Japan trip! If you are traveling you can’t miss Anneau! It’s a perfect date night spot or for good friends to catch up while enjoying French Omakase. They pair wines and beers with the meal, even the chef purchased different beers in advance in anticipation for our arrival. The atmosphere is cozy with large windows and city scape backdrops while sitting close at the counter to be able to talk with and watch the chefs work. The flavors and texture are delicate and floral, with bread service flowing in between. Meals showcase seasonal fruits and vegetables, a variety of unique sauces and meat main dishes. Michelin star quality! I even left my bag behind and the chef ran down the street to return it. I still don’t know how she found us as we turned down a side street. Exceptional quality of food and service. Don’t walk, run to enjoy a meal here! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Leek Soup Vegetarian options: Lots of plant based foods here. Can ask to substitute dishes.
