Gorgeous restaurant and very cool vibe for girls night with my mom! We were in Atlanta for a concert and came here first for dinner. Definitely come 5 minutes early to see the historic lobby— it is beautiful. We split a few dishes and the staff was kind about it. The cornbread muffins were truly the star of the whole meal, and I really enjoyed the cauliflower salad too. Really unique! Our risotto was just ok, kind of blah. Mom reached for the salt and pepper right away because it didn’t taste like much. Service was fine but not warm or particularly friendly. Drinks were very slow. I shouldn’t have ordered a glass of wine to go with the meal when it arrived because I was almost done before I got it. Overall a nice experience I’d recommend doing once. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $70–80 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

By George Restaurant and Bar located inside the elegant Candler Hotel Atlanta, Curio Collection by Hilton is the kind of restaurant that blends historic downtown Atlanta charm with a modern upscale dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels refined, stylish, and welcoming without feeling overly formal. I started with the Caesar salad, which was done exceptionally well. The anchovies brought that authentic savory bite you want from a true Caesar, while the cashews added a smooth crunch that gave the dish a unique twist. For the appetizer, the meatballs were rich, comforting, and layered with flavor — almost reminiscent of a hearty lasagna-style meat sauce in the best way possible. For the entrée, I had the roasted chicken paired with Brussels sprouts, and both were executed perfectly. The chicken was juicy, tender, and well-seasoned, while the Brussels sprouts added a nice balance of texture and flavor to the plate. It’s one of those meals that feels elevated without trying too hard. The service was polished, attentive, and professional throughout the evening, which matched the elegant ambiance of the restaurant perfectly. Between the beautiful interior design, the quality of the food, and the overall atmosphere, this is definitely a strong choice for anyone looking for a sophisticated dining experience in downtown Atlanta.
