Delicious is an understatement, we tried the drowned eggs - scrambled eggs in an umami chicken broth is as luscious and cosy as it reads. The toasted baguette was beautiful & buttery- I daydreamed about it for the rest of the day... oh and the cherry bellini 10/10 brunch treat. Cannot wait to go back to try more of this menu! amazing amazing food, came here for my birthday dinner last year too. BUT the service is not that great. restaurant was completely full for lunch but they only had 1 waitress on the floor. we waited so long to have our order taken and they even served the wrong drink (though they quickly fixed this). not once were we checked up on throughout the meal, nor did anyone fill our waters. and when we were rudely asked by another customer to move to the back of the restaurant while we had an entire table full of dishes and were JUST about to start eating, no waitresses came to intervene or sort them out. it was an insane request from the other customer. just thought the service would be better. not terrible but not good. Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

We had a phenomenal dinner and evening at Duo. We started off with a drink at sister venue, Bon Pinard, a very short walk away, then we were greeted by owners Sarah & Jordan MacDonald at Duo, where we were to enjoy a special dinner (menu in pic) they had put together for a Harbour Hospice fundraiser auction prize they had very generously donated. The 8 of us love our food and wine - our dinner was superb! All of us were raving about the meal, the wine match, the service and how wonderful an evening we enjoyed, thanks to the staff at Duo. My photos don’t do the evening justice unfortunately, and I was so busy enjoying the food and wine, I forgot to take photos of every course. I cannot recommend the people and place highly enough.Just go. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: NZ$100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Dietary restrictions: They handled dietary restrictions easily and well. The changes were excellent.
