Very very good iced Cafe au lait Coffee muffin is not bad but on the dry side. Cheesecake is good too. Overall very nice ambient with a simple and cosy deco. Cafe au lait is a MUST try. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This location truly feels as though it transcends time. During a brief day excursion around Bessho Onsen, we found ourselves desiring coffee, and as we strolled, we noticed Hanatoki. We both agreed that we wished to visit, and it certainly did not disappoint. Initially, I was quite fond of the entrance to the building, appreciating how it artfully blends the old with the new. Furthermore, upon entering, we were greeted by a welcoming server. The interior is charming and offers a refreshing ambiance, tinged with a sense of nostalgia. We both selected the 水出しコーヒ and a pudding, though mine was infused with tea. It is a genuine treasure, nestled within the mountains. I eagerly anticipate my next visit.
