A gem of a jazz bar. Fantastic sound system and eclectic, cultured choice of vinyl lovingly curated by the proprietor. The service is outstanding ..and there’s no cover charge! Get there while it’s hot. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What a cool spot. Was recommended by a local friend and it turned out to be one of the highlights of this trip. Once you enter you’re transported into a perfect world of music and atmosphere. Had a coffee and hot dog whilst we kicked back and enjoyed the experience. The music volume is perfect. Just loud enough that if you wanted to talk you have to lean in. Really fun. Friendly and warm team that runs it. Can’t wait to go back and just hang out. Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great location in Motomachi down a deep flight of stairs. It’s a large basement space designed for listening to jazz. The lady at the counter wasn’t particularly friendly but I was the only customer at 1pm on a Monday. Environment is great— non smoking and cash-only. Price per person: ¥1–1,000 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
