We’re on the bus back to our hotel as I write this and I’m still in a wonderful daydream about how lovely an experience my wife and I had at Kaneto From the moment we walked in and were shown to our table the magical feeling was in motion; the view of the water right outside was absolutely beautiful, and the owners made sure to have the lights dimmed so we could see it fully. Also, the place settings and tableware were gorgeous and so well considered! After that, our courses began, and I don’t have a big enough vocabulary to describe all of the delicious joys we experienced. The entire meal was a genuine miracle—I had no idea beef or tunas or crab or peanuts could taste the way the expert chef made them taste. With the meal were delicious drink pairings as well, and we opted for the non-alcoholic pairings, which were creative and inspired and delicious. This was one of the finest dining experiences we’ve had in our travels anywhere. You owe it to yourself to visit Sado and visit the wonderful husband and wife of Kaneto; they’re a joy and have given us a great memory! Friendly and knowledgeable owner that serves exquisite fine modern Japanese cuisine. Dining area is slightly bright but food and service is top notch. Love the non-alcoholic drinks pairing as well! Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
