Located in Uptown Westerville, right off the main drag of State Street, Thai Grille was a good find. My wife and I went there to start date night and we both really enjoy Thai food. The place wasn't very big, looking to hold around twenty diners, and the decor was simple and clean. They had local art work adorning the walls, which is great. More businesses should support local artists. We were greeted, first by who we guess was the owner, or manager, and then by our server. We started with a couple of specialty teas; I got a cold Oolong and Jasmine mix and my wife got a Thai blend with sweet milk in it. Both we're tasty. We also ordered a Summer roll appetizer, which was lettuce, cut carrots and other veggies, wrapped in rice paper. It came with a vinaigrette sauce, but it still lacked in taste. She liked it, but it was not my thing; personal preference, I don't dig raw veggies all that much. Then, for our main course, she ordered the basil and beef, which was rated at a 3 out of 5 on the heat scale-very important to know at a Thai restaurant. I ordered the Shrimp Curry, which was a 2.5 out of 5. The curry, which came with jasmine rice, could have been a little spicier, but know I know for next time.... There will be a next time. I love a good curry sauce, and this was beyond delicious! So buttery with hints of the coconut milk. The shrimp were a nice size and there was cooked squash, egg plant, zucchini and tomatoes mixed in. What can I say? Good service, clean, inviting atmosphere, and really good (and pretty healthy) food. It's worth your while.
