Suma Café is the kind of neighbourhood spot you stumble upon once and quietly hope no one else discovers. Tucked just around the corner, it serves seriously good coffee, killer toasties, and carries a calm, effortless cool that reflects the owner himself. I ordered an iced long black and the Parmesan Sautéed Mushroom Toastie—simple on paper, but a perfect pairing. The toastie came out buttery and beautifully crisp, with mushrooms that were rich and savoury, held together by just the right amount of cheese. Subtle, comforting, and honestly pretty elegant. And here’s a bonus: from 5pm, the place shifts gears. Drinks come out—Japanese beers, vodka sodas, a bit of wine— I'm keen to come around again during the evening.
